Golf Cart Rules

GOLF CART RULES

  • Any person operating a golf cart must be 12 years old or older unless riding with an adult who is at least 18 years old or older.
  • Reckless use, horseplay and/or joy riding are prohibited on the club property.
  • All Par 3 holes are cart path only. Crossing over the fairway is strictly prohibited.
  • Use of the cart paths year around is essential to the keeping the fairways healthy.
  • The 90 degree rule on cart paths is in effect year around.
  • Do not drive your golf cart in the waste area on number 8 fairway/hole.
  • Observe all cart signs and roped off areas. These are place on the course by the golf course superintendent for a specific reason. Do not cut the ropes and/or knock over any of the signs.
  • When the “CART PATH ONLY” sign is posted, ALL golf carts must remain on the cart path. Absolutely no driving on the fairways or in the rough.
  • When “NO CARTS” signs are posted, DO NOT drive in the posted area. This includes fairways and the rough.
  • If no signs are present around the greens, please keep your golf cart at least 50 yards from the green.
  • Driving between the greens and the tee boxes and cart path is strictly prohibited. Use cart path only.
  • Golf carts should never be driven on wet or bare areas. Also, there are areas where golf carts are being repeatedly driven causing dry ground or dirt cart paths (i.e. fairway #5 at the pond). DO NOT continue to drive in the areas.
  • A person who seeks the designation as a Handicapped Golfer must submit their request in writing to the Board of Directors for approval. Once that person is approved by the board of directors, the golfer (s) must display in plain view a “Red” flag on their golf cart at ALL times. The handicapped golfer will be allowed to drive inside the “no cart” sign area but no closer than 30 feet of the green and when the golfer has completed the hole, they must return to the “no cart” sign and exit to the cart path at 90 degrees. This designation DOES NOT allow the handicapped golf to drive between the greens and tee boxes.

The Center Country Club Golf Course Committee along with the Board of Directors respectfully ask any member who observes a violation of any of these rules, please remind the member of the golf cart rules or report the violator to one of the committee members or board of directors. It is your course, let’ make the best course in East Texas.

For those individuals who continually abuse the above rules will be subject to disciplinary actions as deemed appropriate by the Center Country Club Board of Directors.
